INDIJINIS

Indijinis

Indijinis was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, but moved to Seattle, Washington in 1975 with his mother and two older sisters after his parents divorced. Hip-Hop became an integral part of Indijinis’ life in 1982. Since then rap music as well as hip-hop culture have been the driving force behind what makes Indijinis tick, especially in high school. In the mid to late eighties, a large spike in ga…ng activity took a firm hold on Seattle’s South End, West Seattle, and Central District communities. This was not the route Indijinis choose to take. Instead he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in August 1986 and was subsequently shipped off to the MArine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California in July 1987 after graduating from high school.

A young Indijinis was inspired to be a Marine in 1979 while on a family outing on a ferry with his mother and two sisters when he had a chance encounter with two Marines stationed near Seattle as part of a Marine Security Forces Detachment. Indijinis served for a little more than 7 years as a U.S. Marine Infantryman and Marine Security Guard. Indijinis was stationed at the Kaneohe Marine Corps Air Station on Oahu in Hawaii as part of the 3rd Marine Regiment. Bravo Company 1st Battalion 3rd Marines and Kilo Company 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines. Two different unit deployments took Indijinis to Okinawa, Japan, Po Hang and Taegu Korea and the Philippine Islands in 1988 and 1989. In September 1990 Indijinis was deployed to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, advancing as far as the Kuwait International Airport in February 1991. Returning to Hawaii in March 1991 Indijinis re-enlisted for 3 more years to serve as a Marine Security Guard at three American Embassies- San Salvador, El Salvador, Paris, France, and Mexico City, Mexico.

During Indijinis’ time in the Marine Corps his love for hip-hop music and its culture remained deeply rooted in his heart and soul. After being honorably discharged in October 1994, the drive, hunger and desire to write dope rhymes and rock crowds had not been extinguished. Indijinis’ first solo project titled Megiddo:The Twenty Twelve Effect is a prophetic, lyrically powerful, cleverly crafted project referencing end time prophecies the political landscape and consciousness laced with some revolutionary fervor to keep you on edge and on your toes. Indijinis’ mature and sickly delivered metaphoric rhymes are aimed at the masses as a beacon of truth and a warning to all the impending dark days that lie ahead in the very near future for us all. This wake up call is filled with sick flows and ill doctrine, infectious banging tracks with production that’s on point. Indijinis is close to finishing his second project titled: The Indijinis Chronicles, due to be released in the summer of 2011. Indijinis is also due to release an original mix tape aka Blendid Jointz in the fall of 2011. Get ready.
